Kazin’s Quest is a book that I would like fantasy fans to enjoy for its multifaceted characters and story line. There is a lot happening simultaneously and there are many mysteries that become explained as the story goes on. It takes place in a world where magic is a common attribute for many of the people living there. The different types of magic makes for an interesting world where magical skills can complement or hinder one another, depending upon the application.

Some of the different races can also cast magic which varies from the type wielded by the humans. Other races cannot cast magic and typically have resentment for those who do. The political structure of the various races has a bearing on the outcome of the story, and is explained in detail with the races most prevalent in this story.

I want people to desire the success of the characters who join Kazin, and feel as though they are right there with them. The interaction between the companions is realistic and sometimes comical. They must ultimately overcome their differences and work together to accomplish their goals. Alone, none of them are capable of succeeding.

There are some wars to take place in the story and the tactical aspects should appeal to those who are into board games or computer games which apply those attributes. Perhaps someday there will be computer games created based on this series.

There is plenty of adventure and lots of action to keep the reader interested in the story and I have been accused of depriving my readers of sleep. Although the book is long, there is plenty of ‘meat’ to keep readers interested. If you’re looking for an epic novel, this is it.

I personally stand behind my product and I know that my readers will come back for more. Already there are people anxiously waiting for the next in the series to come out. If you look up Kazin’s Quest on ‘Goodreads’ online, you will find that most of the reviews thus far are looking forward to book II, “Cloak & Dagger.”
